Apple vs Microsoft

Microsoft’s dominance as the most valuable technology company on earth has ended. Apple managed to overthrow and now holds the title as the largest technology.
At the close of stock trading on Wall Street yesterday, Apple’s enterprise value reached U.S. $ 223 billion, while Microsoft’s U.S. $ 219 billion. This is the first time that Apple managed to surpass Microsoft. That the information quoted from the Wall Street Journal, Thursday (05/27/2010).

Only in terms of revenue, Apple is still under Microsoft, by comparison to U.S. $ 42.9 billion for Apple and Microsoft gets U.S. $ 58.4 billion. While in the last fiscal year, Apple’s net income of U.S. $ 5.7 billion, while Microsoft’s U.S. $ 14.6 billion.

This event is like a symbol that shows differences in the direction of the two big companies to be able to lead. With the iPhone and iPad, Apple showed that growth continued to soar. In the second quarter of 2010, profits rose 49 percent from a year ago.

While Microsoft is known as the big software company that has dominated of computers for nearly two decades. But then, consumers get amaze by the Apple handheld device. Although it has been trying to against Apple with try to produce of mobile devices and tablet computers, but actually a Microsoft product would still lose prestige.

Dell Streak to compete with Apple iPad

Dell has been announce and ready to distribute, mobile tablets, Dell Streak. Can the device competes with iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad?

So what is the difference between other mobile phones tablets. Dell argued, this is because their products are named Streak has a super wide screen, which is 5 inches.
In the features, Streak is equipped with 5 mega pixel camera and has Wi-Fi connectivity and HSDPA up to 7.2 Mbps. While the ‘brain’ uses Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 1 GHz. For price, still a secret.

Ready Steady Go for OSX Snow Leopard

Apple got shutdown their Apple Online Store in the world ?? How come ?? The good thing is when opened again,they announcement that Mac OS X Snow Leopard will be ready for release on Friday, August 28. Apple previously said it will launch their latest OS in September.
Snow Leopard or Mac OS X 10.6 was marketed as an improvement of performance and appearance for Leopard (10.5). When he first expressed at the Worldwide Developers’ Conference in 2008, many are speculating whether the latest version of Mac OS will be offered free of charge, with minimal cost or full price as before. This is because the updated version, will be very difficult to sell the OS with the price as before ($ 129). On the other hand, this operating system upgrade was given full status, not only through Software Update.

Presented the most important technology Snow Leopard is the transition to 64-bit applications, which utilize GrandCentral Dispatch multicore processor performance, and OpenCL, the system can use the graphics processor to enhance performance.

Launcing iPhone OS 3.0 at WWDC 09 ??

iPhoneOS 3.0 will be more than 100 new features, called the feasible operating system as the revolution in the face of the smartphone competition. Of the many features offered, the need is worthy of attention the Push Notification Service to replace the multi-tasking to keep more batterypower, P2P connectivity, Turn-by-Turn GPS, MMS, cut, copy and paste., dont forget bluetooth and thetering.

Interestingly, iPhone operating system updates can always be supported by early-generation iPhone and the future so to be able to enjoy the latest features without having to buy a new iPhone.

iPhoneOS 3.0 will be launched to the public on the WWDC event on June 6 will include the launch of the latest hardware iPhone. Should be awaited!

Office Mac : Open Office Mac 3.0 RC 2

OpenOffice.orgÂ 3.0Â RC2 has been released on SeptemberÂ 21st,Â 2008 and has received enthusiastic feedback. Try it out!

OpenOffice.org is out version 3.0 RC1 (although beta1 and beta2 version is out several months ago).

Some things are new:

1. [specialy for mac] Aqua. OOo 3.0 for mac doesn’t need X11Â anymore. This means,the display andÂ applications look like as the Mac in general. In a similar appearance with NeoOffice. MeansÂ I dont need NeoOffice again.
2. Can open and edit files MSOffice 2007/2008 (docx, xlsx, pptx).
3. Can open the PDF files (with additional extensions Import PDF). PDF file is opened as a vector image (with Draw); text can be edited but not flowing. Perhaps, in the final version later, PDF documents can be opened as plain text (the Writer). Fair useful for the hrs PDF form.
4. Can make PDF combo; this document is ODF (can be text / Writer, a spreadsheet / calc, etc.) that are stored as PDF, but when opened with 3.0 But we need, can come out again the original documents. If opened with the usual PDF reader (such as Preview or Acrobat) PDF document combo seems normal PDF.

When I use MacBook with 512MB of RAM, 3.0 feels But we need a little more tracks than NeoOffice 2.2.2 or 2.4 But we need (although it Spek But we need 3.0 requested 1 GB of RAM). But if we use 2GB of RAM, the speed I feel not difference.

There are still some bugs, and several are still often crash. But in general, can be reliable enough already.

According to the Rumor outstanding, Apple will be release latest OSX, they call it “Snow Leopard” .

Snow Leopard AKA 10.6Â will be release in 2009, the most colorful of the latest OS is the full support of the 64-bit technology, Hmmm. Finally got the 64-bit.

Yes, with the full support 64-bit capability is expected to multi-core processor is much more optimal, not a public secret that many Mac User complaining about performance problems “intel” on their Mac machines, part of the old users (PPC’ers) claim that PPC is still better rather than Intel.

One thing that should be noted, for the smooth 64-bit, of course,Â the applications should support 64-bit too, so please make developer application to re-code apps that support 64-bit technology as soon as the Snow out, so we will be smooth using Snow Leopard So welcome to 64 bit technology.
