First time using the Mac? Like the first time my first time using Mac OS X also somewhat confusion in selecting the software for productivity. Here I will review some of the software for users of Mac OS X early, I will choose software or freeware opensource.

Quicksilver
Spotlight is cool, but if used as a launcher application rather slow. So for that we need to Quicksilver. Quicksilver is actually not only for launching applications but can also be used to control iTunes or other applications (I will be working in the next post). Quicksilver working to gather information in your system, it’s quiet, a decline in performance but a scar, your Mac will be the same speed.

AdiumX
iChat is cool, but not support  Y! M protocol or MSN. For those of you who want a chat application that supports many protocols AdiumX is the right option. AdiumX also support the cosmetics for user display or window chatting, so you can make beautiful standard adium with themes that have been available.

Growl
Mac does not come with a notification system, therefore Growl must be installed. For example, you will be notified when your friends are online in the new Y! M on the application Adium, Growl notification will raise directly to the desktop.

CyberDuck
For those of you who often use FTP or SFTP should installed Cyberduck. Cyberduck ability to compare with the other payware FTP applications.

iBackup
Umbrella ready before the rain, yaah essentially, too, often Backup to avoid losing important files. iBackup be able to backup your files to other computers, external hard drives or to .Mac. It is advisable if the files have the important people.

Lynotype FontExplorer X
Font Book is too simple for the management of fonts, with Lynotype FontExplorer X (LFX’s short course) and you can disable / enable the system fonts, add new fonts or remove the new fonts. LFX is very useful for the candidate who often have additional fonts, LFX also supports the standard font formats Mac or the PC.

Vienna
You dope news? To monitor the RSS or Atom news from the website please use your favorite Vienna. Vienna has a simple interface. Vienna also supports smartfolder too.

Quinn

TinkerTool
Tinker Tool can open a configuration that is not in the preference system.

Transmission
If you have much torrent file must have Transmission , although a small but powefull.

VirtueDesktop
Witing for Leopard’s Space? It is also available virtual desktop for OS X is VirtueDesktops. You can get additional desktop 3 for your work.

TextWrangler
I use TextWrangler to create HTML or CSS. TextWrangler also support other programing languages .
