1984 Apple Commercial

1984 Text :

Today, we celebrate the first glorious anniversary of the Information Purification Directives. We have created, for the first time in all history, a garden of pure ideology. Where each worker may bloom secure from the pests of contradictory and confusing truths. Our Unification of Thoughts is more powerful a weapon than any fleet or army on earth. We are one people, with one will, one resolve, one cause. Our enemies shall talk themselves to death and we will bury them with their own confusion. We shall prevail!

I can’t really get what it means. Does the commercial trying to say that Mac has change the way of multimedia at the year of 1984? Anyone can explain a bit?

Is not it amazing how quickly the advertising industry is progressing? These old-fashioned movies are so touching, it is almost impossible anyone to rely on actions like this in a today’s ad.

Ye, that’s an epic ad. I saw a funny edited version the other day which lampooned Hillary Clinton. They replaced the guy on the screen with her. Maybe it helped to get Obama the nomination. Lol

Does she have an iPod? I didn’t know there were already iPods back in 1984. Would somebody clarify this for me? :D
